I ran today.
Like, for real jogging running.
And I didn’t hate it. I didn’t spend my energy wishing I could quit (and then quitting, because there’s not a compelling enough reason not to).
The most fabulous, obvious solution occured to me: I hate listening to my thoughts while trying to run– it’s too much, the running can’t carry what it brings up– so why not put someone else’s words into my head?
I listened to Glennon Doyle and Abby Wambauch’s podcast. (Untamed changed my life– in a dangerous but good way). I listened, I ran, I felt like I spent an hour with friends– and, most notably, like I could do this again.
